A Shia mosque has been attacked by gunmen who opened fire on praying worshipers, killing one man and wounding three others in northwestern Bangladesh.
Earlier in the year, some gunmen opened fire at a major police station in Punjab.
Police said three masked attackers entered the Imam Khomeini mosque in Haripur village and began shooting indiscriminately before escaping.

Witnesses told Al Jazeera that at least 20 people were performing evening prayers at the time on Thursday, November 26.
The mosque’s muezzin, 70-year-old Moazzem Hossain, died shortly after being admitted to hospital.
Imam Shahinur Islam, aged 35, who was hit in the waist by gunfire, said: “We were all praying when they attacked us.”
“The rest were not harmed as they quickly lay down on the floor,” Shahinur added.
Aftab Ali, aged 42, and Abu Taher, aged 70, suffered wounds to their legs. Police found eight spent bullet shells at the scene.
The attack is a second on the country’s small Shia community in recent time.
It came a day after police killed the main suspect behind last month’s bombing of a Shia shrine in Dhaka.
Two people were killed form the Dhaka attack, while several dozens were injured in varying degrees.
As of the time of filing this report, no one had yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

Police spokesman, Arifur Rahman Mandal said investigations were still ongoing to ascertain what really happened.
He went on to assure that all will be done to apprehend the culprits.
It would be recalled that no fewer than seven people were killed after gunmen attacked a bus and police station in India earlier this year.
The attackers reportedly hijacked a car, fired at a bus station and entered a police station near Gurdaspur, in Punjab state, close to the border with Pakistan.
